Job Title: Cardiac Sonographer

ChristianaCare is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team in Newark, Delaware.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Cardiac Sonographer to perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures, assist in the instruction of students and Cardiology Fellows, and provide exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform cardiac ultrasound procedures, including echocardiography and transesophageal echocardiography.
  • Document patient clinical history and technologist impressions on exam request forms.
  • Assist cardiologists with obtaining images and equipment operation during transesophageal echocardiography.
  • Assist in the instruction of cardiac ultrasound students and Cardiology Fellows.
  • Rotate on-call schedule covering off-hours and weekend rotation.
  • Perform pediatric echocardiography, if experienced.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree from an accredited school of cardiovascular technology.
  • Registry-eligible and must sit for registry and become RDCS/RCS within the first year of employment.
  • Pass the registry exam from either the ARDMS or RDCS.
  • CPR certification.
  • IV experience with saline contrast and Definity contrast.
  • Experience in Transesophageal echo, stress echo, dobutamine stress echo, and adult echo.
