Job Overview

FIS Management Services, LLC is seeking experienced IT Architects to enhance and oversee the functional architecture of our comprehensive suite of Financial Services Applications. The role involves coordinating and directing the efforts of team members to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key responsibilities include engaging in process flow analysis and redesign in collaboration with the Engagement Manager. You will also contribute to the development of a comprehensive functional design document that aligns with client needs, incorporating industry best practices and alternative third-party solutions.

Your expertise will be crucial in creating and managing the technical design documentation. Additionally, you will assist in the completion of a configuration workbook and recommend optimal architectural solutions that meet our cost, quality, and scheduling objectives.

Collaboration with project teams to design prototypes for validating application functionality is essential. You will be responsible for custom systems architecture and design for scalable, transaction-intensive applications, which includes the design of web-based user interfaces and complex backend systems, as well as middleware integrations across various products.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline is required, along with five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the field or a related area. This includes expertise in managing end-to-end complex systems development life cycles utilizing methodologies such as waterfall, iterative, Agile, and Jira. You will work closely with Product Managers and Scrum Masters to develop backlog entries for application and process development.

Experience in collaborating with engineering and operations teams to evaluate the feasibility, complexity, and scope of new capabilities and solutions is essential. You will also engage with clients to ascertain business requirements and design solution patterns for applications within cloud environments, considering networking, computing platforms, storage, databases, security, and middleware while adhering to relevant infrastructure technologies and practices.

Proficiency in designing solutions within a distributed and heterogeneous cloud computing environment, including various operating systems and relational/hierarchical databases, is required. This includes implementing solutions that utilize Clustering/High Availability, Virtualization, and load balancing technologies.
