We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Union Hospital. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our orthopedic department.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical exams and discharge planning considerations.
- Care Implementation: Assist with patient care, respect patients' rights, respond to emergencies, and educate patients based on diagnosis, surgery plan, post-op care, and precautions and risks.
- Evaluation and Professional Conduct: Apply rational principles, seek help to prevent errors, and demonstrate knowledge, maintain self-evaluation, follow policies, and participate in education and goal setting.
- Education: High school graduate/GED and graduate from a one-year Practical Nursing program.
- License/Certification: Currently registered with the Indiana State Board of Nurses Registration and Nursing Education as a Licensed Practical Nurse and BLS level of CPR certification is required.
