Key Responsibilities

  • Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct regular vehicle inspections and maintain all vehicles in a safe and secure condition.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with clients, colleagues, and supervisors to ensure seamless operations.
  • Documentation: Accurately document all activities, including transportation records, detainee information, and vehicle maintenance.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum two (2) years of experience as a Law Enforcement Officer and/or Military Police Officer or six (6) months of experience as a security officer engaged in functions related to detailing civil or administrative detainees.
  • Certifications: Possession of a valid New Jersey Permit to Carry, New Jersey Security Officer Registration Card, and USDOT Medical Card (for CDL license holders only).
  • Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and data entry; effective organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active Federal Government Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain an active federal government security clearance.
  • Valid Drivers License: Possession of a valid driver's license for the state of New Jersey.
  • CDL License: Possession of a valid Commercial Drivers License for the state of New Jersey.
Work Environment

The job is performed in a transportation vehicle, either as a driver or passenger, responsible for maintaining the safety and security of all detainees. Daily exposure to various individuals whose medical history is unknown, resulting in possible exposure to potentially contagious air and blood-borne pathogens.
