Adventure Tours is a rapidly expanding charter bus company headquartered in Accokeek, MD. We are seeking a responsible and reliable Motor Coach Operator to join our Charlotte, NC team.

Salary: $23.00 per hour

Job Description:

We are currently seeking experienced and professional CDL Class A or B Bus Operators with Passengers Endorsement and Air Brakes to join our team. As a Bus Operator, your primary responsibility will be to operate a commercial bus and provide safe and reliable transportation services. This position requires coordination with dispatch, maintenance of vehicle logs and documentation, adherence to DOT regulations, and ensuring the cleanliness and readiness of the vehicle.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate a commercial bus and transport passengers according to assigned routes and schedules.
  • Coordinate with dispatch to ensure efficient pick-up and transfers.
  • Maintain accurate motor vehicle logs and documentation as required by DOT and company regulations.
  • Regularly inspect assigned equipment and report any repair or maintenance needs.
  • Keep the bus clean and fueled at all times.
  • Load and unload baggage or parcels when necessary.
  • Transport customers on special trips, both long-distance and local, as scheduled.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure proper functioning of all equipment and safety features.
  • Follow traffic regulations and operate the bus in a safe and courteous manner.
  • Assist customers during boarding and exiting, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Prepare and submit reports on passengers, trips, hours worked, mileage, fuel consumption, and fares received.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CDL Class A or B Bus Driver with Passengers Endorsement.
  • Valid CDL A or B license with (P) Passengers Endorsement and Air Brake Endorsement.
  • Must pass a Criminal Background Investigation.
  • Current DOT Medical Card.
  • Successful completion of mandatory Pre-Employment Drug Testing.
  • Clean driving record with no accidents in the past 3 years and no more than two moving violations.
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation industry practices.
  • Ability to safely load, transfer, and unload passengers' luggage.
  • Neat and well-groomed appearance.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

License/Certification:

  • CDL B with Passenger Endorsement (Required).
