Job Summary

The University of Maryland Faculty Physicians Incorporated is seeking a highly skilled Audiologist to join our team in the Audiology department. As a clinical audiologist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and diagnose hearing loss and balance disorders, interpreting results and coordinating treatment plans with medical, educational, and psychological information.
  • Assess the impact of hearing loss on an individual's daily life and develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Fit and dispense hearing aids, as well as fit and program cochlear implants.
  • Counsel patients about hearing, balance, and related problems, educating them about treatment plans and care and maintenance of hearing aids.
  • Document patient condition and progress, utilizing the electronic medical record as documented in the department and/or FPI standard operating procedure and processes.
  • Complete mandatory employee health, workers compensation, HR processes, and other training and requirements in a timely manner to ensure compliance with all FPI rules and regulations.

Requirements

  • Master's or doctoral degree from an accredited program in Audiology.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical audiology, preferably with a strong interest in vestibular assessment, electrophysiology, tinnitus management, and/or pediatric audiology.
