Key Responsibilities
The Department plays a vital role in patient care beyond the operating rooms, actively engaging in:
1. Ambulatory Care
2. Acute and Chronic Pain Management
3. Preoperative Clinic Services
Qualifications
Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to medical education and delivering high-quality, evidence-based care within clinical teams that enhance patient experiences while prioritizing safety and satisfaction.
Applicants are expected to:
- Educate residents and medical students
- Participate in university service and faculty meetings
- Engage in monthly Grand Rounds and M&M conferences
- Contribute to quality assurance initiatives and continuing education
- Support the department's mission
To qualify for this position, candidates must:
- Hold an MD, DO, or equivalent degree and be board eligible or certified in Anesthesia.
- Possess a California Medical License or an equivalent Special Permit issued (or application submitted) by the California Medical Board.
All qualifications must be met by the time of hire. Candidates considered for assistant rank and above will need to have completed Fellowship training or possess equivalent advanced training and/or experience beyond anesthesia residency.
