Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Computed Tomography Technologist III to join our team at Sutter Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized computerized tomography procedures to produce high-quality images for physicians and other healthcare providers.

Responsibilities
  • Competently perform CT procedures to produce accurate and high-quality images
  • Work independently, exercising sound judgment and developed clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures
  • Gain confidence and cooperation from patients, their families, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure patient safety and privacy
  • May also be responsible for performing specific procedures and/or helping to orient other staff to the department
Requirements
  • Graduation from a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technologist Program
  • CRT certification as a Certified Radiologic Technologist
  • BLS certification as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
  • RHF certification as a Radiology Fluoroscopy within 180 days of hire if required at the affiliate
  • 5 years of recent relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • General knowledge of diagnostic computerized tomography principles, procedures, views, and equipment
  • Ability to perform routine CT examinations and basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods
