Job Title: Trauma Performance Improvement Coordinator

Eskenazi Health is seeking a highly skilled Trauma Performance Improvement Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our trauma program, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of patient care and quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional nursing care to patients in the trauma unit, demonstrating superior problem-solving, decision-making, and critical thinking skills.
  • Act as a resource for unit/area emergencies, disaster management, or other emergent situations, responding, facilitating communication, and providing resources with management/administrative support.
  • Facilitate efficient patient throughput, including appropriate bed placement based on diagnosis, acuity, and staffing requirements in collaboration with staffing coordination.
  • Function as a clinical coach, serving as a resource for other clinical coaches and area preceptors, participating in planning and implementation of orientation, education, and development of staff.
  • Support consistent regulatory readiness for the unit/area via rounding, counseling/coaching, and monitoring, being aware of standards and regulations applicable to the clinical unit.
Requirements:
  • Active RN license in the State of Indiana or the ability to obtain active licensure through application.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
  • CPR, ACLS, ENCP, TNCC certification.
  • Instructor status in TNCC is preferred.
  • TCRN, CEN, or CCRN current or within 2 years of hire date.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience as a registered nurse.
