We are seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager to lead our Warehouse team at the Wakefield depot. This role involves managing the daily operations and performance of the warehouse and its personnel to ensure that we deliver exceptional service to our customers while adhering to budgetary constraints.

The ideal candidate will achieve outstanding results through a blend of experience, enthusiasm, and determination, all within a culture of motivational and engaging leadership.

Success in this position will hinge on effective recruitment, engagement, and development of staff, fostering a warehouse operation that exemplifies operational efficiency, service excellence, and productivity.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, coaching, and developing staff to manage various KPIs, including service levels, stock management, inventory control, productivity, and attendance.
  • Ensuring tight control over all warehouse assets to minimize costs.
  • Collaborating closely with operations and central teams to maintain high internal service standards.
  • Staying current and compliant with all health and safety regulations and food hygiene legislation.
  • Managing teams of up to 150 personnel with a proven track record in achieving KPIs.
  • Demonstrating flexibility in working hours to accommodate our 24-hour operation.
  • Prioritizing workloads effectively to ensure timely completion of all tasks.
