We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Organic Chemistry faculty member to join our team at the University of Alaska. As an Assistant Professor of Chemistry, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students, conducting research, and contributing to the growth and development of our department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach and develop lower-division and upper-division Organic Chemistry courses
  • Conduct research in Organic Chemistry and publish peer-reviewed articles
  • Develop and implement student success initiatives and best practices in the classroom
  • Contribute to department growth and development, including curriculum development and departmental service
  • Mentor and advise students in their academic and professional pursuits
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry
  • Experience teaching lower-division and upper-division Organic Chemistry courses
  • Record of peer-reviewed publication in Organic Chemistry
  • Experience with curriculum development and implementation of student success initiatives
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to departmental growth and development
