About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technology Instructor to join our faculty team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surgical technology, excellent communication and teaching skills, and the ability to create engaging learning environments.

Responsibilities

  • Teach approved courses in surgical technology using applied learning methods and maintaining accurate records of student grades and attendance.
  • Demonstrate expertise in one's discipline and enthusiasm for teaching to create an environment that motivates students to learn.
  • Work with other faculty members and the administration to carry out all instructional procedures and maintain confidentiality in accordance with FERPA and other protected documentation.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess a credential in the field of surgical technology through a national certification program accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA). A minimum of two years of experience in the operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both within the past five years, is required. Excellent English, communication, and writing skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and strong computer and technology skills.

Benefits

Marion Technical College offers a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, benefits include health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
