LanzaJet, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Tax Manager to lead the Corporate & International Tax Strategy of our growing business. As a key player in the Lanzajet Finance organization, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support the global expansion and corporate tax strategy.
Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with international tax laws and reporting obligations.
- Manage U.S. federal, state, and local tax filings, including corporate income, franchise, and sales taxes.
- Develop tax-efficient strategies for both domestic and international operations, ensuring optimal tax outcomes.
- Coordinate transfer pricing policies and documentation, including intercompany agreements and pricing studies.
- Provide tax guidance on cross-border M&A, financing, and supply chain structuring.
- Identify and mitigate risks across multiple jurisdictions, including U.S. federal and state-level risks.
- Manage correspondence with domestic (IRS, state tax authorities) and international tax bodies.
- Work with external tax advisors and legal counsel to resolve complex issues.
- Collaborate with finance, legal, and other business teams to provide tax advice on both U.S. and international operations.
- Stay up to date on U.S. federal, state, and international tax law changes, ensuring compliance with evolving regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or related field (Master's in Tax or CPA preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in corporate tax, with expertise in international taxation as well as U.S. federal and state tax compliance. Big four or similar international public accounting experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. and International tax law, including corporate income, franchise, and sales tax regulations, and transfer pricing principles. ASC740 experience is also preferred.
- Ability to analyze complex domestic and international tax issues and provide strategic solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain tax concepts to non-tax professionals.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with tax compliance software and NetSuite is a plus.
- A team player who can work effectively with internal teams and external advisors.
