Salary: This position offers a competitive salary of $18.00-$19.50 per hour, depending on experience, plus a $1.00-$1.50 shift differential for working various shifts. Additionally, a bi-weekly bonus is available for those who meet attendance requirements.

Job Description: As a Behavioral Health Assistant - Crisis Intervention Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting the mental health and well-being of our clients. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the intake process and facilitating a smooth transition for new clients into our program.
  • Communicating effectively with staff and clients, while maintaining accurate and detailed client logs.
  • Providing a safe, orderly, and therapeutic environment for clients, including crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
  • Coordinating activities and ensuring the daily schedule is followed.
  • Conducting mandatory bed checks and maintaining accurate records.
  • Assisting with interventions and following treatment plans to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
  • Monitoring the medication line and conducting searches as required.
  • Evaluating behavioral and emotional needs, providing input, and upholding Therapeutic Boundaries and Staff Code of Ethics.
  • Distributing client snacks and assisting with the upkeep of our facility.

Required Skills and Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Some mental health experience, although this can be an entry-level role.
  • Experience facilitating groups or activities is preferred but not required.
