Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Ultrasound Tech to join our team at Methodist Hospital Specialty and Transplant. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians in performing ultrasound-guided procedures
  • Maintain skills and understanding of innovation in techniques and equipment in medical sonography for procedures performed
  • Responsible for the proper use of the Radiology Computer System (scheduling exams, patient tracking, film tracking, proper completion of exams, capture charges)
  • Follow safety policies and procedures applicable to the job, recognizes impending crisis situations and institutes measures (such as adjusting priorities) to prevent further complications
  • Understand and follow infection control/universal precautions in the performance of all job tasks
Requirements
  • Education: ONE of the following: Successful completion of training program in either: Ultrasonography, Radiologic Technology, Vascular Technology, or Associates of Science or higher degree
  • Experience: None required, but two (2) years of experience as a fulltime ultrasound technologist in a hospital or diagnostic imaging clinic setting is preferred
  • Must have and maintain ONE of the following within the timeframes below: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), American Registry of Radiologic Technologist ARRT (S), American Registry of Radiologic Technologist ARRT (VS), Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RVS), or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist ARRT (BS)
