Position Summary

We are looking for a Facilities Maintenance Specialist to support our retail operations. The ideal candidate will be a versatile problem solver with a strong skill set and a proactive attitude. This role requires an individual who can effectively troubleshoot various types of equipment and work collaboratively to achieve broader organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, maintain, and install different types of retail equipment.
  • Address issues related to the building's electrical systems, HVAC, and lighting.
  • Adhere to planned maintenance schedules to optimize the performance and longevity of equipment and building systems.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and service calls based on priority levels.
  • Ensure the upkeep of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and lighting.
  • Collaborate with maintenance team members to devise solutions for equipment and building challenges.
  • Assist in managing inventory of parts and materials.
  • Document the use of parts and materials accurately.
  • Complete maintenance tasks as outlined in the Planned Maintenance Procedure.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma with completion of Trade School, Apprenticeship, or relevant Military Experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles and troubleshooting.
  • Proficient in reading electrical schematics and circuit diagrams.
  • Experience with control and low voltage systems troubleshooting.
  • Skilled in using electrical testing equipment such as multi-meters and amp meters.
  • Competent in the safe operation of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic instruments.
  • Knowledgeable about maintenance safety protocols, including PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Able to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Capable of identifying and addressing unsafe conditions on-site.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age, per state regulations.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry a minimum of 50 pounds to a height of at least 5 feet and move such weight a distance of 50 feet.
  • Capability to work in various positions, including standing, sitting, kneeling, and climbing.
  • Ability to handle organic materials and wear appropriate PPE as necessary.
  • Visual acuity for tasks such as reading and inspecting small components.
  • Effective verbal communication skills in moderate noise environments.
Travel Requirements

Travel may be required 50-75% of the time.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $18 - $24 per hour, commensurate with experience. A comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, is available. This role typically involves 40 hours of work per week, with availability for after-hours emergencies.
