Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Registration Associate PRN to join our team at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. As a key member of our patient access team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient registration process for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interview patients and families to obtain complete and accurate demographic and financial information
  • Enter data into our registration and billing systems to minimize patient wait times
  • Confirm insurance coverage and obtain authorizations as needed
  • Collect and post deposits or deductible amounts as required
  • Assist the Appeals department in overturning claims denials
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with patients, families, and clinical staff
Requirements
  • One year of experience in registration or a related field
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and patient registration systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • College degree
  • Certified Patient Account Representative (CPAR) or Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA)
  • Knowledge of insurance verification systems and Medicaid portals
