Business Development Specialist

Overview
We are seeking a skilled sales professional to join our team in the Massachusetts market area. As a Regional Sales Representative, you will be responsible for prospecting, developing and nurturing relationships with businesses and industry entities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new sales leads through targeted business development initiatives, including networking events and strategic partnerships.
- Negotiate and close new sales contracts and service agreements to drive customer growth.
- Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including real estate companies, home builder associations and trade organizations.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continually improve sales strategies.
- Collaborate with regional management and national accounts teams to pursue large-scale business opportunities.
- Represent Suburban Propane in a professional and positive manner, promoting customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of business-to-business sales experience.
- Some college or equivalent in experience and education (business-related degree preferred).
- Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and persuade effectively.
- Professional and articulate demeanor, with a strong enthusiasm for sales and customer service.
- Industry knowledge is preferred but not required.
