Ship Fitter

Hutco, Inc. is seeking a skilled Ship Fitter to join our team in Paducah, Kentucky. As a Ship Fitter, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the repair and maintenance of vessels.

• Perform hands-on tasks such as welding, cutting, and shaping metal to repair and maintain vessels.
• Operate heavy equipment such as cranes and forklifts to move materials and equipment.
• Work at heights and in confined spaces to perform tasks such as entering and moving through manholes.
• Manipulate and transport loads up to 50 pounds over distances of up to 200 feet.
• Traverse gangways and scaffolding at varying heights.
• Stoop, squat, twist, kneel, lift, and reach to perform tasks.

• Must have at least 2 years of experience in a related field.
• Must be able to pass hands-on certification tests.
• Must pass drug test and E-Verify.
• Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including hard hat, steel toe safety boots, safety glasses, and gloves.
