Job Title: Systems Analyst

Amentum is seeking a skilled Systems Analyst to join our team in support of the Cyber Security & Information Assurance (CSIA) Support Services office at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD and Ft Belvoir, VA.

Job Summary:

The Systems Analyst will provide programmatic/business management services, engineering support services, field engineering, laboratory, logistics, and acquisition/administrative support services to augment CSIA core Government personnel and turn-key solutions to support the missions of CSIA and its associated Managers and customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and solve computer problems, and ensure technology meets the needs of the organization.
  • Implement system studies to assist the organization to realize maximum benefit from investments in equipment, personnel, and business processes.
  • Plan and design new computer systems or devise ways to apply existing systems resources to additional operations.
  • Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer systems.
  • Confer with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements.
  • Write detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
  • Review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested programs or program changes are possible within existing systems.
  • Study existing information processing systems to evaluate effectiveness and develop new systems to improve production or workflow as required.
  • Prepare workflow charts and diagrams to specify in detail operations to be performed by equipment and computer programs and operations to be performed by personnel in the system.
  • Conduct studies pertaining to the development of new information systems to meet current and projected needs.
  • Plan and prepare technical reports, memoranda, and instructional manuals as documentation of program development.
  • Upgrade systems and correct errors to maintain systems after implementation.
  • May assist computer programmers in resolving work problems related to flowcharts, project specifications, or programming.
  • May prepare time and cost estimates for completing projects.
  • May design new systems, including both hardware and software, or add new software applications to harness more of the computer's power.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or other engineering or technical discipline.
  • 1-10+ years of experience.
  • 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
  • Must have an Active TOP SECRET US Government Clearance.
Note:

US Citizenship is required to maintain a TOP SECRET Clearance.

Compensation:

Amentum is proud to offer a competitive salary range of $75,000 - $250,000, determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
