Job Summary:

The OHC Floor Lead will play a key role in assisting the Picking & OHC Supervisor with all activities from processing retail product through OHC (induction thru pack-out). This includes processing product using our standard operating procedures and leading the team of employees. The ideal candidate will have prior leadership experience and be able to motivate their team to meet deadlines and productivity standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the supervisor in developing a daily plan around unit goals and staffing requirements for the OHC.
  • Assign work to team members, ensuring all priorities receive proper attention.
  • Ensure work through the OHC is processed on a FIFO basis.
  • Verify that all outbound cartons on the OHC are shipped within expected guidelines, utilizing reporting in the W&H System as needed.
  • Conduct a daily audit of outbound cartons, document results, and take action as necessary.
  • Manage any issues and product errors encountered in a timely manner.
  • Communicate job expectations and coach employees to ensure they are performing at expected rates.
  • Monitor employee performance daily using the MOS System, perform new time studies as needed, and adjust rates accordingly.
  • Cross-train employees in all departments to help with volume demand.
  • Assist the supervisor in performing payroll and employee attendance tracking weekly.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy is a priority.
  • Enforce company rules and regulations, as well as rules specific to the union contract, within the department and throughout the DC.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce standard operating procedures for all tasks executed within the OHC department.
  • Communicate effectively with external company departments that interact with the OHC department.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and promote a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Prior leadership experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work and motivate team members.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and productivity standards.
  • Good attendance and punctuality record.
  • Ability to learn new skills and follow directions.
  • Good math, counting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Professional and positive attitude with high-level customer service.
  • Safety consciousness.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse technology, including RF scanners.
  • Previous warehouse/distribution/production experience helpful.
  • Basic computer skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with physical demands including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to use handling equipment and machinery.
  • Dependable team player with flexibility in scheduling.
