Position Overview:

The Senior Planning Analyst is a vital contributor responsible for facilitating and supporting Planning and Supply Chain operations and initiatives. This role focuses on planning and procurement activities that underpin our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes MRP systems extensively to manage and execute tactical procurement of raw materials in a dynamic, high-volume manufacturing setting.
  • Generates purchase orders and collaborates directly with suppliers to manage open order reports, ensuring timely deliveries to meet production needs.
  • Proactively engages in communication with production planners, inventory control, and logistics to address potential material shortages.
  • Monitors inventory levels to optimize warehouse space and align with production requirements in support of corporate goals.
  • Develops supplier forecasts as necessary.
  • Champions process enhancements and operational efficiencies.
  • Coordinates with Product Management, Master Data, Suppliers, and Purchasing regarding raw materials for new product initiatives.
  • Assists in various Supply Chain projects across multiple production facilities as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of two years of experience in a manufacturing context or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Essential Skills:
  • Highly analytical: adept at critical thinking, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail; effective problem solver.
  • Proficient in technology: comfortable in a highly automated environment with complex software systems; experienced in MS Excel; knowledgeable in ERP/MRP principles.

  • Strong interpersonal abilities: a collaborative team player who communicates effectively at all levels, both internally and externally; adept at building relationships.
