Position: Banking Regulatory Specialist

Location: Tampa, FL (Hybrid)

Contract Duration: 12+ months (with potential for extension/conversion)

We are seeking a seasoned business analyst with extensive expertise in regulatory compliance within the banking sector to undertake the following responsibilities:

(i) Manage and oversee the identification and elimination of unnecessary regulatory controls while ensuring the mapping of essential controls is accurate.

(ii) Engage effectively with stakeholders across various levels to secure necessary approvals for modifications to the controls mapping.

(iii) Provide regular updates and clear communication regarding the progress of the controls mapping initiative.

Core Responsibilities


• Evaluate the thoroughness of control assessments in relation to regulatory requirements.


• Collaborate with teams across the organization to establish relevant metrics and governance structures for effective oversight of compliance regulations.

Required Qualifications


• Proven experience as a business analyst, compliance officer, or auditor with a strong background in banking regulatory practices.


• Proficient in managing a diverse array of systems and data related to controls mapping.


• Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp complex systems and processes.

Essential Skills


• Advanced analytical skills, particularly in Excel.


• Excellent stakeholder management capabilities, with a focus on effective verbal communication.


• Strong critical thinking skills, providing an objective, consultative, and solution-focused approach.


• Experience in navigating large, complex organizations; adept at prioritizing tasks and managing in a fast-paced environment.
