The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for managing maintenance activities, employing precision and preventative strategies to optimize plant and production equipment availability. This role involves serving as a leader, fostering the growth of skilled workers through coaching to ensure adherence to best maintenance practices, thereby enhancing efficiency and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Guide and assist technicians in troubleshooting equipment to reduce downtime. Oversee and authorize inventory purchases to manage storeroom expenses within the allocated budget. Ensure compliance with preferred maintenance practices regarding parts and equipment usage. Supervise adherence to corporate, division, and plant safety and environmental regulations by maintenance staff. Spearhead the development and execution of continuous improvement initiatives related to reliability in the facility. Demonstrate commitment to business and management objectives by effectively leading teams to align on goals. Drive safety initiatives by identifying potential hazards, conducting safety briefings, and coordinating maintenance-related safety efforts. Provide leadership and training in safety, work distribution, and performance standards to maintain the highest safety standards for all maintenance personnel. Collaborate with operational and mechanical leaders to plan, schedule, and execute daily tasks and urgent work to enhance reliability metrics.Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in a Maintenance-related field - Preferred Minimum of 3 years of experience in a dynamic, high-volume manufacturing setting with Mechanical and Electrical expertise - Required. Proficient understanding of maintenance methodologies and equipment (e.g., pumps, valves, motors, gearboxes) - Required Familiarity with PM programs and software (e.g., JDE, SAP, etc.) - Preferred Strong safety orientation with a comprehensive understanding of safety protocols and procedures Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative. Excellent communication skills with the capacity to adapt communication styles to engage with all organizational levels. Ability to demonstrate a positive attitude and motivate others to achieve excellence. Highly organized with effective time management skills to handle multiple priorities. Availability for on-call duties and working alternate weekends for preventative maintenance.Benefits:
