Key Responsibilities
  • Install CMU units and brick types according to project specifications
  • Operate equipment such as mixers, forklifts, and telehandlers
  • Safely erect, maintain, and dismantle scaffolding systems
  • Perform general daily safety inspections on equipment
  • Knowledge of general building structures and foundations
  • Knowledge of elevations, grades, and concrete foundation structures and installation procedures
  • Knowledge of masonry drainage systems and concrete footing designs
  • Responsible for daily production quantities
  • Operate all types of hand tools, saws, and equipment for cutting CMU units
  • Maintain required production units as outlined by the project schedule
  • Perform general carpentry items to assist with temporary enclosures for in-climate weather work
  • Assist in loading and unloading building material
  • Provide input on jobsite logistics, organization, layout, equipment, and manpower utilization
  • Establish and enforce a comprehensive project safety and security program
Requirements
  • Completion of apprentice/vocational program or equivalent combination of training/education
  • Minimum of 5 years of field experience in the masonry trade
  • Results-driven
  • Strong project and time management skills
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
