Brick Mason

We are seeking a skilled Brick Mason to join our team at Franjo Construction Corporation. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing various types of CMU units, including 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, and 16-inch units, as well as all brick types. You will also be responsible for operating equipment such as mixers, forklifts, and telehandlers, and for safely erecting, maintaining, and dismantling scaffolding systems.

• Install CMU units and brick types in accordance with best building practices and contract documents.
• Operate equipment such as mixers, forklifts, and telehandlers for daily construction activities.
• Safely erect, maintain, and dismantle scaffolding systems.
• Perform general daily safety inspections of equipment prior to use.
• Knowledge of general building structures and foundations, elevations, grades, and concrete foundation structures and installation procedures.
• Responsible for daily production quantities, including 8-inch CMU units, 10-inch CMU units, 12-inch CMU units, and brick units.
• Operate all types of hand tools, saws, and equipment for cutting CMU units.
• Maintain required production units as outlined by the project schedule.
• Perform general carpentry items to assist with temporary enclosures for in-climate weather work.
• Assist in loading and unloading building materials.
• Provide input on jobsite logistics, organization, layout, equipment, and manpower utilization.
• Establish and enforce a comprehensive project safety and security program as defined in the company safety program in accordance with all applicable safety codes and regulations.

• Completion of apprentice/vocational program or an equivalent combination of training/education or a minimum of 5 years of field experience in the masonry trade.
• Results-driven with strong project and time management skills.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
