Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Handler II to join our team. As a key member of our supply chain operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of materials and products throughout our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supply production processes with materials as instructed, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Perform regular safety checks on material handling equipment to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Conduct weigh counts for materials and store them as necessary, maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Remove trash and debris from manufacturing areas, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Assist in manufacturing processes and changeovers as requested, providing support to production teams.
  • Operate material movement equipment safely and efficiently, minimizing downtime and ensuring productivity.
  • Maintain a clean work area, consolidating containers of like parts and moving empty containers to designated storage areas.
  • Enter production data, generate move or scrap transactions as needed, and ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Verify and maintain product identification and count, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Support departmental goals and objectives for safety, quality, production, and equipment maintenance.
  • Support receiving by verifying conformance to invoices and stocking all received components on the appropriate shelf location.
  • Responsible for accurate weighing and documenting of scrapped materials for inventory accuracy, communicating issues or concerns with supervisor and/or production lead.
Requirements
  • Ability to complete a Powered Industrial Truck training offered by the organization.
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions, and apply to work standards.
  • Listens and obtains clarification, responds well to questions.
  • Ability to communicate in verbal and written English.
  • Ability to work days, 4 on/4 off, 6am to 6pm.
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Significant experience and skills in the field may be considered in lieu of diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1-year experience operating motorized material handling equipment, preferred.
  • Powered Industrial Truck Experience preferred.
  • Requires standing, walking, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and feeling.
  • Requires eye/hand/foot coordination.
  • Requires the ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
