Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our Yarns Division team at Gildan Activewear Inc. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for transporting full cans of yarn from draw frames to staging areas, loading and unloading cans, and maintaining the tugger and trailers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport full cans of yarn to staging areas using a motorized tugger and trailer combination
  • Load and unload cans from the tugger trailers, ensuring safety and efficiency
  • Maintain the tugger and trailers, including charging batteries and cleaning wheels
  • Perform daily checks on the tugger to ensure all safety features are functioning
  • Work in a team environment to meet production goals and deadlines
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability and willingness to learn and adapt to new processes
  • Reliability and exceptional attendance
  • Ability to work in a cotton dust environment
