Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Forensic Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a Forensic Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing expert care to patients in a forensic setting. You will work closely with our team to provide comprehensive care, including forensic examinations, documentation, and reporting. You will also provide counseling, resources, and support to patients, family members, and significant others.
Responsibilities:
• Perform forensic examinations and document and report physiological and behavioral findings
• Provide information on the disease process, medications, and other relevant information
• Provide counseling, resources, and support to patients, family members, and significant others
• Work closely with our team to provide comprehensive care
• Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
Requirements:
• Associate Degree from an accredited program is required, BSN desirable
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state or as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
• Knowledge of forensic nursing care principles, procedures, and practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
