Position: Attorney, Litigation and Trial Practice

Location: Atlanta, GA

Job Overview:

We are seeking a qualified attorney to represent clients in various litigation matters. The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Conducting thorough legal research and drafting essential legal documents and briefs.
  • Appearing in court and engaging in direct client consultations.
  • Participating actively in the discovery process, including conducting depositions and witness examinations.
  • Identifying, preparing, and organizing exhibits, along with reviewing client documentation.
  • Drafting pleadings, dispositive motions, and motions to compel in federal court settings.
  • Creating client memos and briefings that summarize significant legal developments and recent rulings.
  • Managing e-discovery tasks, which include drafting document retention notices and negotiating with opposing counsel.
  • Interviewing and preparing witnesses for depositions, as well as defending depositions.
  • Engaging in status conferences and maintaining communication with clients, opposing counsel, and judges.
  • Handling oral arguments on motions and leading mediation or settlement discussions.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Georgia and New York, with a good standing status.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in litigation and trial practice, preferably with an international law firm.
  • Experience in complex commercial litigation, including securities and antitrust class actions.
  • Proficiency in conducting depositions and witness interviews using remote deposition technology.
  • Ability to prepare client alerts regarding data security and privacy issues.
  • Experience drafting submissions to regulatory bodies concerning fraud and data breach investigations.
  • Knowledge of data security laws and litigation risks associated with cyber incidents.
  • Expertise in managing large-scale electronic discovery using data analytics tools.

Compensation: Salary range is $235,000 - $375,000.
