Position Summary:
The selected candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing manufacturing processes while ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. A strong background in mechanical design and manufacturing practices is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adopt a safety-first mindset while leading manufacturing initiatives, coordinating both internal teams and external partners to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Promote continuous improvement and lean manufacturing strategies aimed at reducing production costs while increasing output and quality.
- Oversee capital improvement projects, machinery upgrades, and plant layout optimization. Collaborate with vendors and contractors for equipment installations.
- Drive the development of manufacturing processes for new or enhanced products.
- Implement automation and robotics solutions where applicable, with familiarity in PLC-based production systems being advantageous.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of two years of experience in developing manufacturing methods and processes within a production setting, with a solid understanding of safety protocols and inspections.
- Comprehensive knowledge of materials and mechanics as they relate to production systems and tooling.
- Experience in continuous improvement methodologies, lean principles, and value stream mapping in a manufacturing context.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software, particularly AutoDesk, is preferred.
