Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CT Technologist to join our team at Next Move Healthcare. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing computerized axial tomography procedures in accordance with established standards and departmental protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procedure Preparation: Review consultation requests and verify any special instructions; consult with Radiologists if necessary.
  • Patient Care: Obtain patient history relevant to the CT scan and ensure accurate billing codes; greet patients warmly, confirm identification, and explain the procedure to them and their families.
  • Radiation Protection: Provide radiation protection to patients, staff, and self, according to prescribed standards.
  • Scan Performance: Perform routine CT scan procedures following established protocols, ensuring technical quality of scans.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain a working knowledge of all equipment in the CT department, and perform safety inspections.
  • Emergency Response: Recognize and respond to emergency situations, initiate codes, and administer first aid or CPR as needed.
  • Procedure Assistance: Assist Radiologists with CT-guided procedures, including biopsies and drainages.
  • Contrast Media Administration: Administer and prepare contrast media, adhering to department policies, and assess lab values before procedures.
  • Work Area Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness in the work area, stock supplies, and monitor equipment logs.
  • Professional Development: Seek out educational opportunities, stay updated on new procedures, and share knowledge with peers.
  • Documentation: Document scans, complete follow-up paperwork, and ensure patient consent is obtained and understood.
Requirements
  • Education: Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology (required)
  • Credentials: ARRT-CT Computed Tomography (required), BLS - Basic Life Support (required)
  • Experience: One year of CAT scan experience (preferred)
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality; proficient in customer service and able to handle crisis situations
