Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and cultivate a team of GN&C autonomy engineers.
  • Recruit, onboard, and mentor a diverse and inclusive workforce.
  • Oversee the professional growth and performance evaluations of team members.
  • Direct the architecture for integrated autonomous vehicle behaviors.
  • Facilitate software and hardware testing for vehicle autonomy.
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise in the field.
  • Collaborate with NASA and National Team Partners on innovative initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in leading technical teams.
  • Strong foundation in dynamics and physics-based modeling.
  • Comprehensive understanding of spacecraft autonomy principles.
  • Experience with systems engineering methodologies.
  • Demonstrated leadership in technical project management.
  • Proficiency in simulation and modeling software.
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Familiarity with verification and validation processes.
  • Experience in GN&C for human-rated systems.
  • Expertise in specific software tools relevant to the field.
