The Client Engagement Manager acts as the main liaison between Ingram and designated client publishers, coordinating with internal teams to address client requirements, providing industry insights, and recommending tools and resources available through ICG and the wider market to optimize client success.

This position involves offering strategic advice on marketing and sales initiatives, suggesting enhancements to sales materials, guiding timelines for sales processes, implementing digital content strategies, and advising on print solutions.

Ultimately, this role is focused on maintaining high levels of client satisfaction, characterized by a publisher-centric approach and prompt responsiveness.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the book industry.
- Minimum of 4 years in the book industry (distribution, sales, marketing) or client management roles.
- At least 1 year of experience with MS Excel and Word.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in the book industry is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Edelweiss is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct business reviews with assigned publisher clients.


- Develop tailored agendas and objectives for client meetings; prepare relevant reports; discuss current business performance; communicate policy changes; address concerns; and establish follow-up plans.

- Cultivate and sustain profitable relationships with client publishers.

- Serve as the primary point of contact between assigned client publishers and Ingram.


- This includes formal and informal communications, assessing client expectations against Ingram's capabilities, and fostering strong interactions across all levels within the publishing organization.


- Stay informed about client activities, including sales trends, returns, customer insights, successes, market responses, and future business projections.

- Present reports during client review meetings with Ingram leadership and sales teams.

- Manage the sales cycles of clients as they relate to Ingram.

- Assist clients in meeting critical deadlines. Participate in sales conferences, and in some cases, present client titles to the sales team.

- Act as the expert for all matters related to assigned clients.

Compensation:
Salary range: $66,940 - $83,802. This range reflects the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position.

Final compensation will be determined based on various factors, including:

the applicant's education, experience, skills, and geographic location, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
