Clinical Data Manager Job Description

As a Clinical Data Manager at Mass General Brigham, you will play a critical role in the success of our clinical trials. You will be responsible for managing and analyzing large datasets, ensuring data quality and integrity, and providing reports to senior staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop Electronic Case Report Forms (eCRFs)
  • Test and validate study-specific Electronic Data Capture Systems (EDC)
  • Develop programs to check data integrity, including range, error, and logic checks
  • Run queries to verify data quality on a regular basis
  • Prepare reports on data quantity and quality in the data management system
  • Retrieve data and generate reports from the database as requested by senior staff
  • Assist in preparation of regulatory documents for submission to the Institutional Review Board (IRB)/FDA
  • Attend and conduct meetings, teleconferences, and webinars relevant to current or upcoming trials
  • Develop user training course materials and serve as a point of contact for site users

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Previous clinical data management experience preferred

Skills and Abilities:

  • Basic computer knowledge and MS Office applications
  • Experience with MS Access or other databases desirable but not required
