Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist healthcare providers with examination and treatment of patients, performing tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and documenting medical records.
  • Conduct pre-visit planning, including verifying patient information, preparing exam rooms, and ensuring necessary supplies are available.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including allergies, medications, and social history.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries, and addressing concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and other staff members to ensure seamless patient care and efficient clinic operations.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; graduation from an accredited healthcare program (e.g., Medical Assistant, CNA, LPN, EMT) or equivalent work experience.
  • Nationally recognized certifications (e.g., CMA) preferred; maintain certifications per state guidelines.
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with electronic medical records (EMRs); Athenahealth practice management system experience a plus.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Family or Pediatrics; some MA experience required.
