Medication Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Medication Technician to join our team at Bickford Senior Living. As a Medication Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by accurately administering medications and providing exceptional care.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications to residents in accordance with physician orders and Bickford's policies and procedures.
  • Utilize the eMAR system to manage medication administration and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with clinical leadership and other team members to ensure seamless resident care.
  • Provide direct resident care and supervision of non-licensed team members as needed.
  • Lead by example and demonstrate the Bickford Mission 'Whatever it Takes' to all team members on shift.
Qualifications:
  • Active Qualified Medication Aid Certification in good standing or at least one year of experience in the care of seniors.
  • Insulin Certification preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and possess excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Competent in written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
