Job Summary

The Housekeeper is a vital member of our team, responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our community. This includes cleaning common areas, resident apartments, and ensuring that all spaces are well-maintained and free of hazards. The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented and compassionate individual who is committed to providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain all common areas, including restrooms, dining rooms, elevators, hallways, landings, stairs, railings, light fixtures, resident activity areas, and lobby
  • Clean and maintain all assigned resident apartments, ensuring that they are clean, safe, and free of hazards
  • Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to ensure that the building is well-maintained and free of defects
  • Submit maintenance work orders to the Environmental Services team as needed
  • Notify the Environmental Services Manager when supplies are running low
  • Maintain a clean and organized laundry room and store chemicals in accordance with product or supervisor instructions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent certificate preferred but not required
  • Previous experience in a related position preferred but not required
  • Possess compassion for and commitment to hospitality, service, and excellence in elderly care
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the general public
  • Ability to be detail-oriented and organized
