Parts Counter Representative

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Parts Counter Representative to join our team at Healdsburg Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. As a key member of our dealership, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional service to our customers, ensuring they receive the right parts and accessories for their vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Parts Ordering and Inventory Management
   • Maintain a well-organized and stocked parts counter and storage area.
   • Place orders for parts and accessories to replenish inventory, ensuring timely availability.
2. Customer Interaction
   • Greet and assist customers at the parts counter, addressing their needs and inquiries.
   • Provide information on available parts and accessories, their compatibility with specific vehicle models, and pricing.
3. Parts Sales
   • Sell automotive parts and accessories to customers, ensuring accuracy in part selection and pricing.
   • Process sales transactions, including cash, credit, or other payment methods.
4. Technical Knowledge
   • Stay informed about the latest automotive parts and accessories, including their specifications and usage.
   • Provide guidance and recommendations to customers based on their specific needs.
5. Inventory Control
   • Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent overstock or shortages.
   • Perform regular parts counts and audits, reconciling with records.
6. Documentation
   • Maintain accurate records of parts sales, returns, and transactions.
   • Assist in creating reports related to parts inventory and sales.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in an automotive parts or retail environment is preferred.
• Strong automotive parts knowledge, including the ability to identify parts, their compatibility, and their applications.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in inventory management software.
