About the Role:

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dining Services Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our hospitality operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing the dining and hospitality operations, and ensuring the highest level of resident satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation and Service: Deliver high-quality food and hospitality service by following Sunrise recipes, menus, and programs.
  • Menu Planning and Execution: Post and display weekly and daily menus in accordance with Sunrise standards, complete and utilize production sheets to control food quality and portions, and ensure adherence to modified diets, correct portioning of foods, and proper serving methods.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain an adequate inventory of food and supplies, including emergency supplies, and adhere to established product order guides and vendor programs.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Ensure compliance with local health department regulations and Sunrise standards, practice safe food handling at all times, and maintain a clean, organized, and clutter-free kitchen environment.
  • Financial Management: Understand and manage the department budget, including food, labor, and other expenses, and process and submit monthly expenses and budget data timely.
  • Team Management: Provide overall management of the department, including recruiting, hiring, training, and coaching, and lead and participate in daily and monthly team member meetings and trainings.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Two to three years' experience supervising kitchen, food service, and dining room operations in a full-service restaurant.
  • Certifications: Current ServSafe certification.
  • Skills: Proven ability to use appropriate tools, such as production sheets, standardized recipes, temperature logs, and sanitation forms, and basic knowledge of nutrition and modified diets.
  • Leadership: Ability to delegate assignments to the appropriate individuals based on their skills, roles, and interests, and demonstrate good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
