Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Human Resources professional to lead the HR function of a large meat/poultry plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for staffing, safety, associate relations, and employment data process functions. The HR Manager will ensure that the processes used comply with Company policy and procedure, and meet all compliance requirements (AAP, EEOC, DHS, DOL, OSHA, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop creative employee engagement and community outreach programs to foster a positive work environment and promote associate retention.
* Maintain an effective recruiting/selection plan to attract top talent and ensure the facility is adequately staffed.
* Develop and implement processes to reduce turnover, including metrics to measure success.
* Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations, including AAP, EEOC, DOL, DHS, and OSHA.
* Collaborate with the regional Director of HR to develop and implement strategic HR plans and goals, including an annual HR business plan.
* Develop and implement new ideas and concepts to move HR and the business forward.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree required, plus at least 10 years of relevant HR experience.
* Food/CPG manufacturing experience is a must.
* Proven success in supervising HR functions, including AAP, OSHA, EEOC, DHS, and DOL.
* Experience with HRIS and developing methods to reduce turnover.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze and resolve problems at both a strategic and functional level.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
* SHRM certification is strongly preferred.
