Bosch is in search of a skilled professional to lead the company's strategy for state and local governmental affairs in the United States. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with Bosch's business units, site leaders, communications teams, federal government affairs, and the legal department to identify and advocate for company priorities at the state and local levels, focusing on building and maintaining strong relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Director of Government Affairs and the broader team to promote public policy initiatives for Bosch in critical states and communities across the U.S.
- Establish and nurture relationships with essential external stakeholders at the state and local levels to enhance Bosch's investments and operations. This may involve discussions on economic development, incentive programs, technology hubs, and industry transition strategies.
- Proactively identify, monitor, and analyze significant issues and legislation at the state level, developing strategic outreach plans as necessary.
- Maintain ongoing communication with business units to ensure awareness of relevant state actions.
- Advise business units on policy and regulatory matters in collaboration with the legal department, focusing on their impact on product and service development.
- Engage actively with state government affairs committees within Bosch's existing trade and industry associations, sharing insights with internal stakeholders to shape overall strategy and recommend actions.
- Work closely with Bosch site leaders to design and implement local engagement strategies, including active participation in community initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 7+ years of experience in state and local government relations, with established connections in state government offices
- Direct experience in lobbying or advocacy
- Exceptional organizational and project management abilities, with a focus on speed, accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel domestically approximately 20-25% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience in consensus-building among diverse stakeholders.
- Results-driven attitude.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint and Excel.
- Desire to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, both virtually and in-person.
- Exceptional judgment and discretion.
Salary Range: $128-152K
