Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Automation Technician III - Plastics to join our team at Kohler Co. This role will be responsible for maintaining and repairing computer-controlled systems and robotic devices used in our facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair and maintain computer-controlled systems and robotic devices to reduce human intervention and maximize efficiency.
- Perform routine checks on automated systems, monitor systems, and isolate problems to perform repair.
- Determine if problems are electrical or mechanical from the computer system controlling the processor or schematics associated with equipment.
- Repair or replace necessary components, such as sensors, cabling, valves, motors, or electrical wiring.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Robotics and PLC controllers.
- Knowledge of Auto-Cad and Inventor Software.
- Good reading and writing skills.
- SAP knowledge is preferred.
- Ability to work well with other associates.
- Self-starter with good motivation.
- Ability to lift over 50 pounds to waist level with aids (hoist).
- Ability to lift over 40 pounds over shoulders.
- Very safety-minded.
