Powerhouse Resources Inc is seeking a highly skilled O&M Technician Level 1 to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our power plant.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct all work activities in a professional, environmentally conscious, and safe manner.
- Assure operational efficiency, unit reliability, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Maintain and execute tactical processes in a team-oriented, multi-discipline environment.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all plant equipment, including instrumentation, control systems, and mechanical and electrical equipment.
The successful candidate will work in a normal power plant environment and/or outdoor work environment. This may involve standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, twisting, climbing stairs and ladders, and entering plant equipment to access, inspect, or collect data on plant equipment. The candidate will also be exposed to outdoor conditions that may range from very cold to hot and humid.
Requirements- Years of related experience required working in a power plant environment.
- Demonstrate full knowledge and proficiency in the operation and maintenance of a combustion turbine generating station, including balance-of-plant equipment.
- Possess specific experience with Siemens Westinghouse 501 FC and 501 FD combustion turbine and Siemens V84.3.A2 preferred.
- Understanding of T3000 and Ovation control systems preferred.
- Understanding of dispatch protocol.
- Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Ability to handle constantly changing and emerging work priorities and schedules.
- Ability to work effectively with other team members.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact with various personality types.
- Good computer skills including Microsoft Office and other computer-based productivity tools.
- Demonstrate good decision-making abilities, long-term developmental capabilities, and networking skills.
A High School Diploma or GED is required. An Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
