At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As a Turbomachinery Structural Analyst III, you'll play a critical role in designing and building advanced liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen pumps for our Lunar Lander. Your expertise in structural analysis, FEA, and classical methods will be essential in ensuring the safety and reliability of our spacecraft.

This position is part of our Lunar Transportation business unit, which is developing Blue Origin's multiple Blue Moon lander product lines. To further our mission of having millions of people living and working in space, we're building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.

We're looking for an experienced turbomachinery structural analyst to work directly with NASA and our National Team Partners as part of the Human Landing System (HLS) Sustaining Lunar Development (SLD) program. You'll be responsible for performing structural analysis, fatigue and fracture calculations, and writing detailed structural analysis reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform structural analysis using FEA and classical methods on turbomachinery components
  • Conduct fatigue and fracture calculations
  • Write detailed structural analysis reports
  • Collaborate with NASA and National Team Partners on the Human Landing System (HLS) Sustaining Lunar Development (SLD) program
Requirements:
  • B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering or related technical subject area
  • 5+ years of experience in turbomachinery structural analysis
  • Experience performing FEA utilizing non-linear modeling techniques
  • Experience performing modal analysis and frequency prediction
Preferred Qualifications:
  • M.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering or related technical subject area
  • Experience with cryogenic applications
  • Experience in all phases of turbomachinery life cycle in flight vehicle applications

Compensation Range: CA applicants is $111,690.00-$156,366.00; CO applicants is $102,382.50-$143,335.50; WA applicants is $111,690.00-$156,366.00

Other site ranges may differ.

Paid Time Off: Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.
