Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct maintenance on refrigeration systems, including standalone air-cooled units, remote parallel racks, HVAC systems, and refrigerated displays.
  • Exhibit the company's core principles of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Maintain accurate records of refrigerant usage.
  • Ensure the cleanliness, organization, and security of the service vehicle.
  • Perform prompt and thorough repairs and preventive maintenance on store equipment, including addressing refrigerant leaks.
  • Collaborate with fellow mechanics as necessary.
  • Foster positive working relationships with key personnel and division office staff.
  • Receive and organize work orders from dispatch to create a weekly schedule.
  • Maintain an accurate and well-organized inventory of parts on the service vehicle.
  • Work closely with a refrigeration technician to gain exposure to refrigeration, preventive maintenance, service tasks, and parts procurement.
  • Oversee refrigeration requirements, preventive maintenance, and service operations.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in working hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
  • Travel independently to various sites as needed.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, resources, and schedules effectively.
  • Basic knowledge and computer skills related to refrigeration and HVAC maintenance, with a capacity to quickly learn refrigeration concepts applicable to grocery operations.
  • Possession of a valid state driver's license.
  • Active pursuit of a degree at an accredited technical institution.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing assignments and project scopes.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience as a general technician.
