About the Role

Marsh McLennan is seeking a skilled Data Product Owner to join our team in Bethesda, Maryland. As a Data Product Owner, you will be responsible for managing large projects and processes, ensuring that data solutions provide needed functionality to consultants, sales professionals, and leaders across the firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the priorities roadmap for IT products and the day-to-day operations of the team and 3rd party vendors.
  • Ensure that data solutions provide needed functionality to consultants, sales professionals, and leaders across the firm.
  • Define the journey to fundamentally elevate the integrity of our data, and coordinate execution across strategic and tactical technology initiatives.
  • Partner with key stakeholders across the company, requiring excellent communication skills to convey technical complex information and concepts in easily understood terms to business and operations partners.
  • Develop and operationalize the portfolio's data strategy, recommending and delivering short-and long-term IT portfolio goals to elevate product quality.
  • Provide expert and strategic advice to members of the Operations & IT leadership team on all data matters affecting the IT portfolio.
  • Conduct quantitative research as required, determining and communicating connections/relationships between data, identifying and answering questions about data and products.

Requirements

  • Substantial experience managing extensive data and innovation programs.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI and SQL reporting is required.
  • Comfort manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources.
  • Individual contributor who works independently with minimal supervision, with ability to lead and develop project-based matrix teams to meet or exceed the company's expectations for data productivity, quality, and achievement.
  • Agile delivery experience for large platforms including data visualization tools.
