Gastroenterology Nurse Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse Triage to join our team at Allied Digestive Health in New York. This full-time position offers a competitive salary, generous benefits package, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for managing incoming patient calls, coordinating appointments, and ensuring quality patient care in collaboration with healthcare providers. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants to coordinate patient care.
- Manage incoming patient calls, responding to queries and concerns in a timely and empathetic manner.
- Coordinate appointments, referrals, imaging studies, and laboratory tests as required.
- Prioritize authorization for medications, imaging studies, and laboratory tests.
- Notify patients of test results via phone or email.
- Respond to patient portal messages and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Maintain accurate records of all procedures and ensure that pathology reports are received.
- Process prescription refills, reviewing charts and scheduling appointments if necessary.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of New York.
- BCLS/ACLS certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical office setting.

The estimated annual salary for this role is $65,000 - $85,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
