Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Manager to oversee the ER Holds and supplemental staffing programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the ER Holds and supplemental staffing programs, collaborating with various departments to facilitate seamless patient care, and forecasting current and future staffing needs.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with coordinating the placement of admissions and transfers in accordance with clinical standards, guidelines, and regulatory requirements
- Ensure patients are admitted to the most appropriate level of care
- Collaborate with other Nursing Managers and Directors to ensure effective and efficient patient placement and optimal allocation of resources
- Work collaboratively with other nursing leaders to monitor and manage nursing productivity
- Assist with position control and position allocation information to ensure appropriate resources are available
- Assist with the administration of the automated staffing and scheduling system and patient placement system
- Ability to problem-solve and work effectively with management and staff
- Ability to plan, develop, and interpret budget and financial statements
- Ability to lead process improvement initiatives
- BSN, required
- MSN, preferred; MBA or other health-related masters will be considered
- Current Florida State RN license
- Current BLS through American Heart Association
- Current ACLS through American Heart Association
- 3 years of progressive management experience, required
