Utility Plant Operator I

We are seeking a highly skilled Utility Plant Operator I to join our team at ENGIE North America Inc. This role is responsible for safely and efficiently operating power generation equipment that powers campus facilities, including the University Hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Operate power generation equipment, including pumps, air compressors, conveying systems, fans, electric motors, ash conveying systems, control valves, mobile equipment, and other industrial equipment.
- Conduct hourly rounds to monitor equipment status, check for leaks or abnormalities, and complete logs at the end of rounds and shift.
- Assist with weekly preventive maintenance during day shifts and perform regular testing and treatment of boiler water as directed.
- Communicate with shift members, support personnel, maintenance, and management through Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Maximo.
- Provide relief and support in other job classifications, including Maintenance and Fuel Unloading.
- High School Degree or GED equivalent required.
- A minimum of two (2) years industrial plant, process plant, shipboard power & propulsion or power plant experience operating boilers, pumps, fans, conveyors or similar experience.
This role requires attendance at a worksite on a daily basis and involves working in a hot environment with moderate to high noise levels. The Power Plant can be dusty, and areas of the Power Plant can be confined spaces.
